SCRAP IRON CLUB UPCOMING EVENTS

WOOD BAT TOURNAMENT

We are proud to announce that we will be having a Wood Bat Tournament and Scrap Iron Fundraiser.

Date: Saturday and Sunday, July 27-28, 2024

Location: Schaefer Athletic Complex, 9750 W Hampden Ave, Denver, CO 80235

Prepare for a great event, with a concession stand serving food and drinks (Hot Dogs, Burgers, water & Beer) and of course good Old Time Softball with wood bats.

It will be a 3 game tourney with 4 teams in each bracket. Brackets will be set up of 4 teams of equal age groups. (2 AM Brackets Starting at 8:30) (2 PM Brackets starting at 1:00)

We have room for 16 teams, but even if you don’t plan on playing come and join us for food and softball. Some wood bats are provided but you are welcome to bring your own. Bamboo composite bats are not allowed.

ANNUAL BANQUET AND AWARDS DINNER – October 26, 2024

This is a fundraising opportunity for Scrap Iron Club members, friends, family and guest from the community to meet, greet and share their experiences at an event center. Food and a cash bar will be provided. Raffle tickets and a silent auction will be part of the fundraiser. Each team is recognized for their year’s accomplishments along with their team MVP. Other recognitions are those being inducted into the Scrap Iron Hall of Fame and possibly a recipient of the Founders Award. Come early and spend some time socializing with players, teammates and friendss.

Price for admission is $45. Raffle tickets can be purchased at the entrance.

SCRAP IRON 2024 BOARD MEETING – December 7, 2024

The Scrap Iron Board of Directors and Executive Committee meet to discuss the end of 2024 season finances, the season’s activities and club updates. New teams are presented and voted for acceptance into the Scrap Iron Club and a 2025 preliminary budget forecast is discussed. All Scrap Iron Club members are invited to attend. If someone has a topic to be discussed, contact the President by November 23, 2024.

SCRAP IRON 2025 BOARD MEETING – February 1, 2025

The Scrap Iron Board of Directors and Executive Committee meet to discuss club business, approve the budget and other 2025 activities. All Scrap Iron Club members are invited to attend.
